I live in Rhode Island and have been doing freelance illustration on and off since the early 90’s. Before that, I was a computer geek for a large corporation and became really burned out. I rediscovered my love for art and drawing and started taking classes at the RI School of Design as a way to relieve the stress of my job. When I got married and had kids, I stayed home with them and used my illustration skills to bring in a little extra cash here and there – illustrating a children’s book, greeting cards, jewelry – pretty much anything someone would hire me for. I eventually had to get a job with a more dependable salary and so my artwork took a back seat to family and job responsibilities. But somewhere along the way I found that designing stamps was a perfect fit for my lifestyle. The art is small and portable, fun and freeing – I especially like that I can be as quirky as I like. I like art that is sweet or funny or has little oddball creatures that make me smile. I hope they put a smile on your face as well!
